Teaching
Teaching Philosophy (as a Teaching Fellow / Assistant)
I shape my role as a Teaching Fellow around two central goals.
My primary goal is to ensure that students can fully grasp and master the material presented by the professor. Recognizing that students have varied learning styles, I employ diverse instructional approaches to accommodate these differences. Alongside traditional techniques such as office hours and Q&A sessions, I facilitate hands-on learning through group work, live coding and debugging sessions, and tutorial workshops. My approach prioritizes problem-solving, equipping students with the tools and guidance to precisely identify and independently address challenges, rather than simply providing answers or solutions.
Equally important is my role as a reliable partner to teaching faculty. I strive to understand the broader goals behind the professor’s needs and tasks, ensuring alignment with their teaching objectives. This involves clear communication, collaborative planning, and proactively addressing changes to ensure that our efforts are synchronized and contribute positively to students’ overall learning outcomes.
This philosophy reflects my aspiration to become an impactful business educator. My commitment is driven by a strong work ethic, a genuine desire to support others, and the fulfillment I find in contributing to the growth and success of students.
